Refill Worthing launch - 15th August, 5:30-8pm @ St. Paul's cafe, chapel Road, Worthing BN11 1EE

A scheme to break our plastic habit, which started in Bristol and has taken off nationally, is launching in Worthing. The Refill scheme signs up local businesses, cafes and venues to become Refill stations, where members of the public can refill their own water bottles for free. The nifty little Refill app, available at the normal places, shows people their nearest stations on a map. Folks can also upload their own favourite cafes if they too want to become Refill stations.

Refill Worthing already has over 30 trail-blazing stations mapped and is signing up more everyday. We are holding our launch day on the 15th August. Over lunchtime we will be in town around the market, building public awareness of the scheme. In the early evening, we move to St. Paul's cafe for the official launch, with guest speakers Atlanta Cook and Cat Fletcher, stalls and workshops concentrating on solutions to single use plastic. All are welcome.

Worthing Climate Action Network, supported by Transition Town Worthing, Adur and Worthing Councils, West Sussex County Council and Southern Water, is leading Refill Worthing. More details will be on our social media pages - find us on Facebook, Twitter and Instgram by searching for @RefillWorthing.
