Hello everyone

I hope you are all doing as well as can be expected. As ever I’m going to start this update encouraging you to make sure that you are aware of the latest government information regarding Covid-19. The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) is also providing useful and regularly updated information for charities here but do always check the date to make sure it is current.

 Remote Working tools:

We’re hearing some great things about organisations using digital tools to help their staff and volunteers work and communicate remotely. If this all feels a bit new and daunting, CAST Tech4Good have put some great resources together on Remote Working, Remote Meetings and there is access to FREE digital advice from Digital Candle here

 Volunteers and Volunteering:

Many of you will be worried about your current volunteers, trying to work out how to deliver your services in new ways and also being contacted by people who want to volunteer to help. If you have roles that you need to fill, please do register them on our website. We’re happy to talk through this process if you have any questions. If there are urgent opportunities let us know and we will spread the word. We are also spending time working with people who are contacting us to volunteer their time as well as aiming to provide some support to the many grassroots mutual aid groups that are springing up.

We have suspended our face to face dropin advice sessions for volunteers but are planning phone or video meetings instead, more details to follow soon.
